Archie's strives to ensure that our website and physical venue are accessible to people of all abilities. We believe every guest deserves an equal opportunity to enjoy our food, drinks, and atmosphere, and we are continually working to improve the accessibility of our experience.
Website Accessibility
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. Our ongoing efforts include:
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks for assistive technology navigation
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background elements
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Responsive design that supports text resizing and zoom without loss of content
- Skip-to-content link for efficient keyboard navigation
Venue Accessibility
Our location at The Broadview Hotel offers the following accessibility features:
- Step-free entrance and ground-floor access
- Accessible washrooms
- Seating arrangements that accommodate mobility devices
- Staff trained to assist guests with accessibility needs
If you have specific accessibility requirements for your visit, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively identifying and addressing these issues. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so we can prioritise a fix.
